A night dive is always something special

Night dives can be done by our open water divers due to the shallow diving depth of 12 meters maximum.
Night dive details:
About 30 minutes before sunset we arrive at the harbor in Playa del Carmen, where the boat is already waiting for us.
Our boat has all the necessary equipment to meet the requirements of the harbor master for night dives in Playa del Carmen.
Each diver is equipped with a dive light as well as a spare. If you don’t have your own lights, we’ll be happy to provide them to you free of charge.
After a short 5-minute boat ride to one of our shallow reefs close to the shore, we enter the water as the sun goes down behind the horizon. For a night dive, we are allowed to dive at a maximum depth of 12 meters.
During the first 10 minutes of the dive, it gets dark and our dive lights help as we get accustomed to the change. During the dive we communicate with our lights only. We’ll give you a detailed briefing about communication procedures.
In general, as with all other diving activities with DeepDiveMexico, we only take a small group with a maximum of 4 divers on a night dive.
