PADI and/or Rescue Diver
The PADI and either the SDI Rescue Diver course will enhance your ability to recognize problems in good time and to act properly during stressful situations so that a small emergency does not become a serious danger. The main focus is on preventing and dealing with dangerous situations as well as learning self-rescue techniques. All this helps you to better deal with typical diving problems, increases your self confidence in your diving skills and makes you a better and more careful dive buddy.
Description:
The first day includes theory and training exercises in the pool. In the theory lessons, you learn how to quickly identify stress situations and alleviate problems related to different dive conditions. The practical pool exercises give you basic knowledge, e.g., dealing with a panicked diver, bringing to the surface an unconscious diver as well as techniques for managing little or no air situations.
The second and third day you spend on the boat or at the shore- emergencies are simulated, 'Search & Recovery´ is carried out underwater and you learn how to best use available resources. In addition, you learn to apply ventilation techniques in the water and how to administer oxygen. Keep your eyes open as your dive instructor will stage unexpected rescue scenarios for you.
