TDI Full Cave Diver Course
This course is the third part of the TDI Full Cave Diver Development program. Advanced cave dive planning, practical implementation in different types of cave systems and scenarios with different difficulties are presented.
This course does not teach all possible facets of cave diving. The aim of the course is the expansion of the skills taught in the TDI Cavern Diver and Intro to Cave Diver courses!
The focus is on dive planning and perfection of skills while students make their first complex navigation dive in a cave and use the rule of thirds for their gas supply.

Components of the course include:
Performance requirements outside the water:
- Line work in general
- Complex navigation
- Adequate dive planning
- Correct behavior in restrictions
- Emergency procedures
Performance requirements in the water:
- Demonstration of adequate dive planning.
- Pre-dive check
- Demonstration of special techniques for buoyancy, proper trim and balance
- Line work
- Stress management
- Complex navigation including T´s, jumps and gaps
- Diving in restrictions
- Emergency procedures
- Communication by light signals
- Communication by hand/light and touch contact
To successfully complete the TDI Full Cave Diver course, students must:
- Successfully pass the written exam of the TDI Full Cave Diver course
- Safely and effectively demonstrate all land exercises and water skills
- Demonstrate proper and adequate dive planning
