PADI Tec 45
Upon completion of the PADI Tec 45 course, you will be qualified to conduct planned decompression dives to a depth of 45 meters, use pure oxygen for decompression, and handle more complex equipment and dive plans more safely.
This course expands your limits:
Independence, precision, and responsibility!
What is the PADI Tec 45?
The PADI Tec 45 Course is your next step if you want to delve even deeper into the world of technical diving after the Tec 40. In this course, you will learn how to safely plan and execute dives to 45 meters with planned decompression – and with significantly more self-reliance.
You will work with pure oxygen or Nitrox to shorten your decompression times, refine your gas switching skills, and learn how to remain calm and controlled even in stressful situations.
The Tec 45 is demanding – but also incredibly exciting.
It takes you to a new level in terms of technique, planning, and self-reliance underwater.
Course Outline
PADI Tec 45 Course Outline (3 Days)
Day 1 – Theory & Equipment
We start with theory: decompression with pure oxygen, gas planning, and everything that goes beyond Tec 40. Afterwards, we check your equipment, practice gas switching, valve management, and perform initial skills in shallow water (max. 6 meters).
Day 2 – Dives 1 & 2
- Dive 1 (max. 30 meters): Focus on buoyancy, depth awareness, gas switching in shallow water
- Dive 2 (max. 37 meters): Decompression simulation, emergency training including valve and safety drills
Day 3 – Final Dive
This time, you plan your deco dives yourself:
- Dive 3 (max. 45 meters): Your complete Tec 45 dive under real conditions. If everything goes well, you are ready for your certification.
