The Nitrox Instructor Course
The SDI Nitrox Instructor Course is a significant milestone for diving instructors who want to deepen their knowledge and expand both their personal and professional competencies.
Nitrox – a special breathing gas mixture of oxygen and nitrogen – allows divers to extend their bottom times and simultaneously increase the safety of their dives.
Why the Nitrox Instructor Course
The easiest way to significantly enhance your value as a dive instructor.
Nitrox courses are purely theoretical, but are often offered in dive centers in combination with Nitrox dives.
Furthermore, diving with Nitrox is becoming increasingly popular, so the Nitrox course is taught almost daily in dive centers.
This course provides you, as a future Nitrox Instructor, with the necessary knowledge and skills to dive safely with Nitrox and to pass this knowledge on to your students.
The SDI Nitrox Instructor Course Process
The prerequisite for participation is that you are already certified as a regular Nitrox diver and have completed at least 30 logged Nitrox dives.
To refresh your knowledge, you will receive an e-learning module from us, which you must complete before the course begins.
The course itself mainly consists of theoretical teaching practice sessions, where we first demonstrate how to teach, and then you prove that you can confidently convey the topic and progressively pass it on to your students.
An effective Nitrox Instructor Course, entirely without dives, but with a focus on didactics, safety, and course structure.
