The Instructor Development Course IDC
You’ve likely already discovered, since your first breath underwater and throughout your professional Divemaster / Assistant Instructor courses, that the feeling of sharing your passion and enthusiasm with others is immense. If so, the IDC is definitely for you.
The Instructor Development Course and evaluation will change your life in many ways, both within the diving world and beyond.
Continue to share your enthusiasm for the underwater world and work with a family of international instructors.
Full-time or Part-time?
The Full-time Course lasts a total of nine days with us. It includes the completion of the Instructor Development Course (IDC) and the Instructor Evaluation Course (IEC) immediately following the IDC.
Our part-time course covers the same content as the full-time course, but the content delivery is spread over five weekends, with the IEC conducted on the last weekend.
The course will include at least 100 hours of training and at least 50 hours under the direct supervision of our team.
All courses are tailored to the students’ level and are extended as needed to meet the comfort and completion requirements of the students and teaching staff.
How Do I Prepare for the Course?
To prepare for your IDC, you should review the basic topics of diving. Additionally, you must master all skills of the OWD course and the rescue scenarios, and you should practice and refresh them in the weeks leading up to your IDC participation.
Content of the Instructor Development Course (IDC)
As part of our IDCs, we prepare you for the Open Water Scuba Diver Instructor (OWSI) exam and for becoming an instructor for two specialties. Our recommendation here is training in deep diving and Nitrox. Of course, there is also the option to get trained in additional specialties. Just contact us about it.
Course Fees
For your participation in the full-time course, consisting of IDC & IEC and the preparatory course, we charge a fee of 3,000 Euros per participant, which must be paid in advance of the course. The association fees for certifications are NOT included in this fee and will be invoiced separately by the association.
What is not Included in the Course Fees?
All individual costs (such as food, drinks, accommodation) and your personal diving equipment at instructor level.
