First Response - First Aid for Divers

The course lasts one day and is suitable for both divers and non-divers. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical exercises and concludes after theory, exercises, and a final exam – usually in the afternoon or early evening.

    Prerequisites

    No need to panic – to participate in the First Response Course, you don’t need to be a diver or a rescue professional. The only things you should bring are curiosity, willingness to learn, and a bit of desire to practice hands-on.

    • Minimum age: 12 years old
    • No prior knowledge required – open to all
    • You should be physically able to perform simple first aid procedures

    We will teach you everything else – step by step, hands-on, and in a way that it sticks in an emergency.

    Course Overview

    • First Aid (Secondary Care) as well as CPR – that is, Primary Care (Initial Care) and Secondary Care (medical first aid)
    • Shock prevention, stabilization of spinal injuries, use of barrier devices for infection control, and first aid procedures – based on international standards. Objective: Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate which not only serves as a prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver Course but is also recognized internationally – for example, in workplaces or for certain driver’s licenses.

    In summary: A practical, intensive 1-day course that teaches life-saving first aid techniques – perfect for preparing for advanced Rescue Diver training.
