How Your Rescue Diver Course Works in Playa del Carmen

The Rescue Diver Course is typically split across three days, combining classroom learning, pool practice, and open-water scenarios:

Day 1 – Theory and confined water: We start with the knowledge development sections covering self-rescue, stress recognition, and emergency management, followed by pool sessions where you practice tired-diver tows, panicked-diver holds, and out-of-air responses in a controlled environment.

Days 2 and 3 – Open water scenarios: On our dive sites and reefs off Playa del Carmen, you work through a series of realistic rescue exercises: responding to a missing diver, managing a panicked diver at the surface, towing a non-breathing diver, and coordinating an emergency exit. These scenarios build directly on the skills you practiced in the pool, but now under real conditions.

Junior Rescue Diver (ages 10–14)
