Nitrox Diver Course

Nitrox Course, Increasingly Popular!

Diving with NITROX is becoming increasingly popular. This is not surprising, as it has long been known that the use of Enriched Air NITROX in diving brings significant advantages for the diver.

Enriched Air enhances comfort during diving, for example, by extending the no-decompression limit.

What is Enriched Air Nitrox and What are its Benefits?

Since our breathing air consists of approximately 78% nitrogen, approximately 21% oxygen, and approximately 1% other gases, we can claim that we have actually been breathing EANx all along.

NITROX is a portmanteau formed from the English gas names Nitrogen and Oxygen, and it refers to all gas mixtures composed of nitrogen and oxygen.

During diving, Enriched Air is typically used, where the oxygen content is usually increased to 32% or 36%. This necessarily means that the nitrogen content must be reduced.

Your Nitrox Course and its Additional Benefits!

Due to the reduced nitrogen content, less nitrogen saturation occurs during the dive when using air profiles, resulting in a lower risk of decompression sickness.

This is particularly interesting on vacation, especially when several dive days with many repetitive dives are planned. But Nitrox is also advantageous in local cold waters.

A dive is best enjoyed when diving relaxed and not feeling “foggy.”
Enriched Air offers this advantage.

Many divers also report that they don’t feel as “tired” after a dive with Enriched Air. Due to the lower nitrogen content, bottom times are extended when using Enriched Air compared to compressed air.
