The Cenote Nicte Ha
Cenote Nicte Ha is located approximately 53km south of Playa del Carmen in the Dos Ojos Ecopark. A short gravel road leads us past the park’s reception all the way to the cenote.
Water Plants
The name of the cenote translates to “Water Plants” and comes from the fact that many water lilies are found in the open area, which seems to particularly attract photographers.
This cenote offers a maximum diving depth of 8.5 meters. Diving along the guide line, we repeatedly pass stalactites and stalagmites that correspond to the usual characteristics of the Dos Ojos cave system.
Lighting Conditions
Due to the lighting conditions and the numerous water lilies, this cenote is ideally suited for photographers. However, the fine sediment on the grotto floor leaves no room for misbehavior.
