The Cenote Dreamsgate
A bumpy, approximately 3km long road leads us almost directly to the water. Apart from a palapa, a toilet, and some gear tables, there’s little to see here outside the water.
Upstream and Downstream
However, this makes this dive site appear completely idyllic. Cenote Dreamsgate offers us 2 dives, which are divided into upstream and downstream. This means that one time you dive downstream into the grotto, while the other time you dive upstream.
Downstream Dive
The downstream dive offers us an airdome where we can surface after about 15-20 minutes of dive time. The jungle roots hanging down here look like elephant feet and make the water appear emerald green due to the organic acid seeping out.
Most Beautiful Cavern Dives
We like to describe the second, slightly shorter dive as a wax landscape. Stalactites and stalagmites as far as the eye can see. The dives in Cenote Dreamsgate are not without reason referred to as the most beautiful cavern dives worldwide. Prepare to be amazed…

With a maximum depth of 6.5m and very fine sediment on the bottom, we only recommend this cenote to our experienced guests.
